It is election day, and I wanted to spotlight some local candidates who are RMC Silvers sponsors and who ran great campaigns. In this midterm election, while the US Senate and the Congressional campaigns were stealing the spotlight, we saw Republicans working hard at local levels, and for the first time, Republican and Independent PACs supported Republican candidates at the local level in non-partisan races. The Republican Women’s PAC and the Washoe GOP to name a few. The radio ads, the Republican Voter Guide and Google targeted video Timelines Interviews were excellent and they should help our candidates win elections.
Our Local Republican Candidates
The best run local campaign award goes to Mike Clark. He did a great job of promoting his message by getting out and talking to the people, posting campaign signs everywhere, sending out two mailers and using Google Video Ads. Mike was also on Timelines.
Re-Elect Mike Clark
for Washoe County Assessor
Another Silver Sponsor and an up-and-comer in the Republican Party is Andrew Caudill who is running for the Washoe County School Board. This is Andrews first run for office and he is off to a good start. He did well at fundraising, talked to as many people as he could, putting up signs, made videos and got out a mailer.
for Washoe County School Board
Washoe County Commissioner Jeanne Herman also a Silver Sponsor ran a solid race. She built on her reputation in the northern valleys by getting out into the communities, putting up signs, appeared on Timelines and other social media sites.
Re-Elect Jeanne Herman
for County Commissioner
Four years ago the Republican voters did not know who the Republicans were in the Reno Primary Mayor’s Race and the top three vote-getters ended up being two Democrats and one liberal independent. This year Republican voters know who is Democrat, liberal Independent, and Republican candidates. Now Eddie Lorton is in a good position to have a major upset. Eddie ran a good race and with the help of the Washoe County Republican Party mailer and Google Video Ads, there could be an upset here!
for Mayor of Reno
To all the Republican candidates, we thank you for running and believing in the Republican concepts of limited government and individual freedom and liberty. We also want to thank the RMC for sponsoring Timelines Videos and Podcasts over the past two years. We wish all our candidates well on this year’s midterm and continued success into 2019.
